What We Install
Van Heat Pump Pros installs every type of residential heat pump system across Greater Vancouver. Whether you have existing ductwork or none at all, whether you're replacing a gas furnace or adding climate control to a new addition — we have the right system for your home.
Ducted Heat Pump Systems
If your home already has ductwork from a forced-air furnace, a ducted heat pump is typically the best option. It uses your existing ducts to heat and cool your entire home from a single outdoor unit and air handler. Most gas furnace replacements use this type of system.
Ductless Mini Split Systems
Mini splits require no ductwork — the outdoor unit connects directly to one or more wall-mounted indoor units. They're perfect for older Vancouver homes built without central ducts, for secondary suites, for additions, and for laneway houses. Compare ducted vs ductless →
Multi-Zone Systems
One outdoor unit powering multiple indoor units, each with independent temperature control. Ideal for two-storey homes or families who want different temperatures in different rooms.
Heat Pump Water Heaters
A separate heat pump for your hot water, using the same technology as your home heat pump. They use up to 3x less electricity than a standard electric hot water tank and qualify for an additional CleanBC rebate.
We are CleanBC approved contractors. We process your rebate application as part of every installation. Most Greater Vancouver homeowners receive $6,000–$16,000 back from the BC government. See our full rebate guide for exact amounts.
Brands We Install
We are factory-trained and authorized dealers for the following brands:
- Mitsubishi Electric — widely considered the gold standard for mini splits; industry-leading cold-climate performance
- Daikin — Japanese-engineered, highly efficient, excellent for both ducted and ductless applications
- Lennox — premium North American brand, excellent ducted systems for furnace replacements
- Bosch — quiet operation, strong warranty, competitive pricing
- Fujitsu — exceptional cold-weather performance, popular on the North Shore and in Langley
- Carrier — reliable and widely serviced across BC
We'll recommend the right brand for your specific home and usage — not the one with the biggest margin for us.

How Much Does Heat Pump Installation Cost in Vancouver?
Installation costs depend on the type of system, the number of zones, and your existing infrastructure. Rough ranges before rebates:
| System Type | Approximate Installed Cost | Typical CleanBC Rebate | Net Cost After Rebate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Single-zone mini split | $4,000–$7,000 | $1,000–$3,000 | $3,000–$4,000 |
| Multi-zone mini split (2–3 zones) | $7,000–$14,000 | $3,000–$8,000 | $4,000–$6,000 |
| Ducted system (furnace replacement) | $8,000–$16,000 | $6,000–$16,000 | $2,000–$8,000 |
These are estimates. Your actual cost and rebate will be confirmed during your free assessment. For many homeowners replacing a gas furnace, the net cost after rebates is surprisingly low.
